TM Blast Local SEO Case Study Heat Map Change for a Contractor in Saratoga Springs NY

TM Blast took over the SEO responsibilities for a contractor looking to launch their own business in 2024. Their website (Peteani Home Improvement) is on Squarespace and didn’t have a Google My Business or Bing Places for Business account. In two short months, I’ve been able to rank them for a wide range of services around their location in Saratoga Springs, New York.

 

Here are some of the results and some of the things that I did.

 

Heat Maps (Before and After)

The best way to illustrate the success that this client is seeing is through graphs and heat maps for some of their target keywords. The graphs and charts below come from my favorite Local SEO tool, Local Falcon. The metric I care about is SoLV (share of local voice), which represents the percentage of time my client is on page 1 of Google for the keyword phrase in the report.

What I Did – High Level Summary

 

  1. Got the client verified on Google My Business and Bing Places for Business
  2. Made a series of changes to the Google My Business page to optimize for upstate New York. Some changes included the description, updates, services, and more
  3. Synced the changes into Bing weekly
  4. Ran weekly health reports in Local Falcon to track the progress
  5. Made a series of changes to the website to optimize it for each service. Built out new pages with content and photos supplied to TM Blast from the client
  6. Worked with Mike and his team on entity building. Worked on getting listed on relevant third-party sites

 

Additional Things Done to Ensure Success

 

  1. I gave Mike and his team regular updates on their tracking success from Local Falcon.
  2. Mike and his team were open to all the SEO changes I proposed. I was given the keys to drive the car (website), which led to fast SEO results. As a note, most local clients of mine see results by month three, but Mike and his team saw it in month 1.
  3. Monthly reports detailing what I did and the results each month
  4. Phone calls with Mike and his team to explain what I was doing
  5. Made CSS changes to the Squarespace site to improve the look and feel for mobile users
  6. Added tracking (Google Analytics) along with form submission tracking
